Steve Bingham Biography

Steve Bingham is internationally renowned for his work as leader of the Bingham String Quartet and for his solo recitals on acoustic and electric violin. In the past twelve months alone, Steve has given solo recitals, acted as music consultant for an Open University research project, appeared on stage in London’s West End for the Royal Shakespeare Company, worked with primary school children in the London Borough of Newham, appeared with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, recorded music for rock duo No-Man, played solo violin for several film soundtracks, performed the Mendelssohn violin concerto, and of course performed regularly with the Bingham Quartet. Occasionally he also managed to get out and do some birdwatching! His wide ranging skills should prove excellent for this course and we hope to get a diverse range of students in order to ensure full use of his talent!
